Become a Region Partner

Region Partners serve as non-exclusive Community Managers, helping review martial arts schools in their region. It's a services role, not ownership: no territory, brand license, or share of revenue.

$10,000/year per region. Each region is a separate application and a separate yearly payment. Want two regions? That's two applications and $20,000/year. Nothing is charged until you're approved.

Region Partner Terms

Version 2026-11-06-draft-2 · Draft pending legal review

1. Services role only

The Region Partner (Community Manager) provides community-management services to Verified Martial Arts (the "Company"), such as helping review school listings. The Partner is an independent contractor and is not an employee, franchisee, licensee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of the Company. The Partner controls the manner, hours and means of their own work and is responsible for their own taxes, insurance and expenses.

2. No rights granted

No license to use the Company's names, logos, trademarks, or brands (including "Verified Martial Arts" and any regional "Verified" name) is granted, other than identifying oneself factually as a Region Partner when the Company permits. No ownership, equity, intellectual property, or territory is sold or granted. Roles are non-exclusive; the Company may appoint other partners in any region at any time.

3. No revenue share

The Partner receives no share of membership dues, featured placement fees, advertising, or any other Company income, and no commissions or payments for recruiting others.

4. No earnings claims

The Company makes no representation or promise of income, profit, clients, members, or results of any kind, and offers no buy-back, refund guarantee (other than as stated in Section 6), or assistance in finding locations, customers, or accounts.

5. No required purchases or operating plan

Other than the annual services fee, the Partner is not required to buy any goods, services, equipment, inventory, or training from the Company or anyone it designates. The Company does not prescribe a marketing plan or method of operation for any business the Partner owns.

6. Fee, renewal and cancellation

The fee is $10,000 USD per year for each region, billed as a separate subscription per region. No payment is taken until the Company approves the application. The role renews automatically each year; the Company will send a reminder before each renewal as required by applicable law. The Partner may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current term, by contacting info@verifiedmartialarts.com. A full refund is available on request within 14 days of the first payment, and any additional refund or cancellation rights required by the Partner's state of residence apply.

7. Ending the role

Either party may end the role on 30 days' written notice. The Company may end the role immediately for misconduct, breach of these terms, or conduct that harms students, schools, or the Company, with a pro-rated refund of unused fees unless the termination is for the Partner's material breach, where permitted by law.

8. Conduct

The Partner will give accurate, fair, and good-faith input on listings; disclose any conflict of interest (such as owning, working for, or training at a school in the region) and abstain from decisions about it; not discriminate on any basis protected by law; not accept payments or gifts from schools in connection with listing decisions; and follow Company policies and all applicable laws.

9. Confidentiality and privacy

Any school, applicant, or user information the Partner can access may be used only to perform the services, must be kept confidential and secure, may not be sold or shared, and must be deleted or returned when the role ends. The Partner will promptly report any suspected data breach.

10. Liability

Services and access are provided "as is." The Partner is responsible for, and will indemnify the Company against, claims arising from the Partner's own negligence, misconduct, or breach. To the fullest extent permitted by law, each party's total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the Partner's state law requires otherwise. Disputes will be resolved by individual binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a class or representative action, where permitted by law. The Partner may opt out of arbitration by emailing info@verifiedmartialarts.com within 30 days of accepting these terms.

12. State and territory law

If the law of the Partner's state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory gives the Partner rights or protections beyond these terms, those rights apply. If any term is unenforceable in a jurisdiction, it is removed for that jurisdiction only and the rest remains in effect. If any law would treat this arrangement as a franchise, business opportunity, or seller-assisted marketing plan requiring disclosure or registration, the Company may decline or end the arrangement and refund all fees paid.

13. Changes

The Company will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes. Changes apply only from the next renewal and only if the Partner agrees; otherwise the Partner may cancel with a pro-rated refund.

14. Entire agreement

These terms, as dated and versioned on this page, are the entire agreement about the Region Partner role and replace any prior discussions. The version accepted is recorded with the date and time of acceptance.
